A 20-tonne overhead bridge crane has been successfully delivered and installed.

This marks a major step toward full hardware assembly for Pulsar, our next-generation flywheel energy storage prototype.

The new crane will support the lifting and integration of core components, enabling safe, fast, and precise assembly work. It has a span of 19.5m and a lifting hook height of 10.3m. While the rails were already here, the bridge and trolly are brand new.

Custom made, delivery was a surprisingly quick ten weeks from order and cost us only $35,000, illustrating one of the benefits of keeping R&D based in Shanghai.

Every upgrade to TC brings us closer to delivering clean, durable, long-duration energy storage to the world.

More updates coming soon…
