Construction is complete and Qnetic’s Shanghai Technology Centre is now operational!

The team is already on-site, turning innovation into hardware.

”The TC” comprises a design and development office with meeting room, a conference room, a mechanical and electrical lab, and a large workshop space.

This is a pre-existing building of almost 1,000m2 where we have undertaken renovations to some existing structures to tailor it to our needs, creating an excellent new hybrid working space, working hard to optimise between cost-effectiveness and long-term functionality.

The TC provides Qnetic with the platform for our next stage of development and growth. It will be the place where Pulsar is first tested and where the latest and greatest version of our product is being developed at any given time in our product roadmap.

Our brilliant engineering team have already started the early stages of building Pulsar, our next-gen flywheel prototype for durable, scalable, long-duration energy storage.

The prototype build-space was previously 1.5hrs away from our design office. Now, with all disciplines under one roof, we have:

— faster progress

— strengthened collaboration

— build and test capability

This is to add to our forthcoming production capability in Sacramento, CA. News on that will be coming soon.

We also celebrated our 4th year since inception!

To mark this new chapter, our teams held a leadership and team-building workshop, reflecting on four years of growth, shared vision, and individual purpose as we continue driving toward a cleaner energy future.
