Building the Impossible: the Most Complex Part of Qnetic’s System

Qnetic is advancing the manufacturing of the carbon fiber rotor for its Pulsar flywheel energy storage prototype.

In this video, Our CTO, Loïc Bastard, is working closely with our partner Gruppo ESEA in Italy on the manufacturing of the core component behind our system: the Rotor.

The rotor is the largest, most complex, and most expensive component in Qnetic’s system. Pulsar’s rotor represents a significant upgrade from the smaller Vega rotor, with an improved design and advanced materials intended to support greater energy capacity and performance.

Qnetic assembled the Pulsar prototype using a steel setup rotor while the carbon fiber version was being manufactured. The carbon fiber rotor is now partially complete.

This work marks an important stage in prototype development: a key component is progressing through manufacturing as Qnetic continues developing its flywheel energy storage system.

Further engineering, testing, and commercialization work remain ahead.
