Pulsar Motor Reaches 130 kW Output at 97.3% Efficiency

At Qnetic, we believe high-performance energy storage must be proven in execution, not just modeled on paper. We are excited to announce verified performance metrics from the latest round of motor testing for our alpha prototype, Pulsar.

Breaking Down the Data

  • 130 kW Power Capacity: To put this in perspective, 130 kW of instantaneous power is sufficient to support up to 40 average residential homes simultaneously during peak demand hours.
  • 11,010 RPM Rotational Speed: At peak rotation, the perimeter tip of our engineered rotor approaches supersonic velocities, demonstrating mechanical integrity under high mechanical load.
  • 97.3% Conversion Efficiency: Achieving 97.3% motor efficiency ensures that almost all incoming electrical energy is successfully converted into kinetic energy with minimal thermal dissipation.

Addressing the Modern Grid Challenge The modern electrical grid is encountering unprecedented structural stress driven by hyper-scale AI data centers, rapid fleet electrification, and variable renewable generation. Traditional battery chemistry struggles under heavy continuous cycling, suffering from performance degradation that limits operating lifespan.

Pulsar is engineered specifically to address this gap. By utilizing kinetic storage rather than chemical reaction, our system offers high throughput and long duration capability across decades of continuous operation with zero degradation.

These testing milestones mark a pivotal step forward in our engineering roadmap as we continue validating our hardware for utility and industrial grid integration.
